Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Russia has carried out a series of destructive and deadly airstrikes against the terrorist nation IS over the last few weeks and Vladimir Putin recently sent his country's most elite special force team to destroy ISIS.
China's People's Liberation Army is also allegedly preparing to join Putin's forces. A senior government member at a United Nations meeting confirmed China's plans, following several reports of military movement in the region.

A Syrian army official also released a statement supporting China's decision to join the fight against ISIS "in the coming weeks."
Beijing insists they will stand by existing United Nations laws in the region. Hints of Chinese actions towards jihadists continues to grow as the terrorist threat rises.
Wang Yi, China's foreign minister, released the following statement at the UN Security Council session in New York:
"The world cannot afford to stand by and look on with folded arms, but must also not arbitrarily interfere," adding nations should not allow "violent extremist ideology."
Wang and Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister in Russia, met last week and confirmed the two countries were in "similar positions" on domestic and international issues.
Reports claim China's J-15 warplanes are will launch from an aircraft carrier when they attack ISIS.
Russian media sources revealed Chinese military advisers are already in the region. Reports quoted Igor Morozov, a member of the Russian Federation Committee on International Affairs, who said the Chinese aircraft carrier, Lianoning, and a guided missile cruiser were on their way to the area.
Morozov confirmed that China joined their military operation in Syria, stating, "The Chinese cruiser has already entered the Mediterranean, followed by its aircraft carrier."
Reports that China has already joined military operations have yet to be verified by China and satellite images of Tartus shows the port is empty.
China's involvement is believed to be in response to ISIS threats and the expectation of an attack. Last year, ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi sent China a threat for "oppressing" Muslim Uighur minorities in Xinjiang.
Threats of terror attacks in Xinjiang, where hundreds have died in cultural and religious clashes, have been confirmed by China officials.
ISIS insurgents released images last month of a Chinese citizen reported missing and demanded a ransom.
Though China maintained a non-interference police in regards to international affairs, the Syrian situation has been impacting its economy, including the China National Petroleum Corporation, whose Syrian oilfield has been forced to be abandoned.
Any form of interference in Syria would result in China/US tensions, but Russia would benefit by the boost in military power and war strategy.
