LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Psalm 127:3 tells us children are blessings from God.
Unfortunately, John 3:3 explains no one is saved unless they are reborn in Christ - this includes babies.
In baby Tilly's case, she was born suffering vision problems.
She was unable to clearly see her parents' faces, the toys around her room or even her own hands.
Then, at three-months-old, the Lord's gift of knowledge led doctors to understand she needed glasses to see clearly.
Tilly's family recorded the moment her glasses were placed around her head and the tiny, fragile, adorable baby seemed confused for a moment.
As her eyes focused on her mother's face, Tilly's smile grew and happy gurgles escaped her lips.
Mother and daughter shared smiles and happy words as they stared into each others' eyes.
As her mother speaks to her, Tilly's smile fades and her expression shifts into one of pure fascination.
Her beautiful eyes search her mother's face and she is clearly considering the details that are now visible.
By the Grace of God, Tilly gets to experience the benefits of medical technology and wisdom given to man from the Divine Healer.
Thank you, Father, for your healing mercies. Thank you for offering cures in a world destroyed by illness and thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice.
We pray for more healing and scientific progress in the name of the Lord, that no other child of God will have to suffer the effects of illness or affliction.
Amen.
