Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013
General Intention:
The Faith of Christians. That in this Year of Faith Christians may deepen their knowledge of the mystery of Christ and witness joyfully to the gift of faith in him.
Missionary Intention: Middle Eastern Christians. That the Christian communities of the Middle East, often discriminated against, may receive from the Holy Spirit the strength of fidelity and perseverance.

    I have found that Fr. Thomas Dubay's books on prayer to be really great, and EWTN has a wonderful 13 part audio series of his about Contemplation http://www.ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/seriessearchprog.asp?seriesID=7103&T1=dubay It is just excellent. I also just read a great book about Spiritual Direction that some may find helpful, Navigating the Interior Life by Dan Burke: http://tinyurl.com/c38t6y2
