Fight back against Gay TV in your home!

The homosexual lobby is subverting society by infiltrating our homes.

Buried in the noise of the presidential campaign and everything else, a new TV show aired last month on NBC. Dubbed, "The New Normal" the TV show centers on a homosexual pair who consider themselves "married" and are having a baby by surrogate.

Demonstrating the perversion of the show, the lead male characters appear pregnant in advertising images.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - At least one NBC affiliate in Utah found the content of the show to be so objectionable, they refused to air it. The show runs during prime time hours and is intended to make light of homosexual relations and surrogate motherhood.
Most critically, the show, as its title implies, is attempting to normalize deviant behavior.

There's nothing normal about homosexual equivalency and gay parenting. If fact, it's so abnormal, it is the subject of a TV show where the title insists that it is normal; but an Orwellian twist cannot change reality - it cannot rewrite natural law.

Catholic Online, alongside many faithful across America, is alarmed by this attempt to place the topic of homosexual relations and parenting in prime time where children can be exposed to the normative brainwashing of hyper-liberal media executives whose primary interests are ratings and money.

Producers of the show may even have a different interest, hoping to drive social change by convincing entire households, including children, that homosexual unions are "normal."

In response to this, Catholic Online has developed a petition, which readers are invited to sign. The petition, which is linked below, will tell the producers of this show that their message of moral decay is unwelcome in our homes.

Christians, as the petition points out, are the moral majority in the United States, and do far more good for society than the homosexual lobby. There are no homosexual hospitals, nor shelters, nor food banks. Homosexual organizations do not build churches or private schools. However, Christians do these things as part of their daily efforts. Christians work hard daily to build a life-affirming society founded on moral principles, natural law, and the loving message of Christ.

Despite these efforts, it's Christians who are being marginalized by the media as producers choose to make and air shows about men being homosexuals rather than about Christian families being wholesome.

Sadly, this is the fodder many Christians consume for "entertainment" without realizing the damage such programming does to society.

The good news is, as Christians united for positive change, good can result. A well-worded petition, a boycott of a television channel, and a few letters to sponsors can make all the difference in the world.

You are now invited to join other Christians like yourself, who have become tired of seeing smut paraded on television as though it were "normal" precisely because it is deviant. Fight back and sign the petition now.

Please view your petition and sign it here.

CJ, no one is trying to "dictate what other people can watch." That is simply a straw man attack on your part. The article is merely encouraging readers to exercise their democratic rights. As you said, we do live in a free country. And that means you are not the only one entitled to voice his opinion. People of faith have the right to free speech too.

I agree with CO and Emma. The show is absolutely terrible in what it is trying to push. But to Emma's point, it's exactly why it's failing. It's terrible. I couldn't even watch 5 minutes of it. Modern family on the other hand is a good show. The former is pushing everything to the extreme while I tihnk Mondern Family is merely showing things as they are today. Like all things delivered in our media, just don't watch. Ratings drive whether or not a show makes it or not. I agree with Emma, drawing attention to it will only increase ratings. Let that dumb show fall on it's face. It's already headed there.

Imma sign that petition, but if I were the author I'd revise the article on the Christian vs. homosexual charity, even though it's mostly true. The Catechism already recognizes that though the homosexual act is sinful, people who are homosexual are quite able to be kind and generous as human beings. Sooo...try not to sound prideful. That also is a sin, y'know? We can afford to give credit where it's due.
I have not seen that show...I don't want to boost their ratings. The previews are gross enough; it's as if they're trying to be as offensive as possible in order to desensitize us, the way violent movies get less disturbing (but I wouldn't know).

Fortunately, this is still a free country, at least for the moment, and governed by secular law. If you don't like the show you have the ultimate power - change the channel. But trying to dictate what other people can watch based on your narrow world view is silly and really, really annoying to those of us perfectly able to make up our own minds on issues.

Oh, and you might want to brush up on your editing skills when you write these silly rants. Seriously, what kind of grammar is "Christians... have DO far more good for society ..." It's an extremely pompous, arrogant statement, and quite incorrect grammatically.

Personally, I think the worst possible way to get this off the air is to draw an inordinate amount of attention to it. Why? Because I've watched it and overall, it's just a bad show : boring, bad acting and writing. One more likely to sway public opinion is "Modern Family " just because it is entertaining. Let's not over react. I do support traditional marriage, however, even I think this article crosses the line when it elevates Catholics as if they're the only ones who care about others! I study with people who are members of the GLBT Community. There are homosexuals in many helping professions and volunteer organizations. This article makes it sound as if the author doesn't even think of them as human and is just as offensive to me as this particular tv show is to the writer!! We 're working overtime to teach young people not to bully. Let's not become bullies ourselves.
