Fr. Matthias tells us today's homily is not a defense of the Catholic Church's response to the child abuse crisis nor an intellectual analysis of the subject at hand, but a pastoral sermon, one warning the sheep of the wolves. The subject at hand is the volley of "recommendations" from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, and Fr. Matthias fires back by first examining the incredible suggestions from the Committee, and then examining what exactly the Committee itself is promoting in the name of "protecting children."
