During Lent as we seek to focus on Christ through prayer and sacrifice there are many influences that contend for our attention. Indeed, all year long we are faced with choices around the entertainment and influences that we allow in our lives, that inevitably help to shape and form our minds and hearts. Much as we are what we eat, our attitudes and beliefs are influenced by those situations we place us in, the environment in which we live and study as well as by the entertainment we choose.
