On the second Sunday in Advent Fr. Elias preaches on John the Baptist's ministry of proclaiming the coming, the advent, of Christ in the wilderness, that is, to mankind. Just as Jesus brought a new message to�Israel, so too we need to�re-evangelize�a people who have gone far astray in our modern, materialistic world. Father�also�relates this to St. Juan Diego who's feast day is normally today (overridden this year by a Sunday) and was�instrumental�in bringing the faith to the pagan word of Aztec Mexico.
