Fr. Tito uses the story of Midas' Golden Touch to preach on the significance of the Gospel account of the healing of the daughter of the Synagogue leader�and the afflicted woman. Both were healed at the touch of Jesus. By the old law he would have contracted a curse by touching someone unclean or dead, but instead he gives out a miraculous blessing of curing and Resurrection that is more valuable than Gold and exemplifies the grace that gives eternal life.
