On August 10 Rev. John J. Coughlin, OFM preaches at the Guadalupe Shrine at La Crosse on the occasion of the Canon Law Conference on how to be spiritually fruitful. We do this by hating that part of ourselves which is selfish and loving that part that is the image of the Triune God which is self-sacrificing. This is exemplified by none other than Jesus Christ, God the Son and imitated by the martyr St Lawrence, on who's feast day this homily was given. Ave Maria!
