In today's Gospel Jesus confounds His enemies who were trying to make Him chose between doing civic duty of paying taxes or to be loyal to the anti-Roman cause associated with being a good Jew at the time. Jesus' response is, give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is His. Father preaches on the need for us to give Him ourselves and make this the basis for fulfilling all our duties. Ave Maria!
