My children and I are all Jesuit trained. I attend an annual retreat offered by Jesuits for almost 40 years now. After many years of involvement with the Jesuits I was always comfortable with their intellect, knowledge, spirituality, etc. However, lately I have been very concerned with the willingness to provide forums for far left activists without providing a counter point to their distorted presentations. The faculty members at their universities are very far left, they no longer nurture students' Faith, and all to often students graduate at the expense of their Faith. Maybe new leadership with a spirit of renewal and recommitment to the Church's Magisterium will help to return many Jesuits who seemed to lose their way. Political correctness often leads us astray even when well intended. Example, hiring staff who openly condemn Christian tenets and/or are avowed atheists.I am sure there are qualified candidates who lean center to right. Obedience to Mother Church is first and foremost since Jesus, the root of the "Company's" name, promised the Holy Spirit would guide us to Truth in the Body Of Christ., the Church.
