Fr. Maximilian compares the Passion of our Lord to the trials and sufferings we all face, and as the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mt. Tabor gave the disciples hope through the Passion, so it also gives us hope today, and shows us that we need grace to carry on. In fact, as soon as we try to "take a rest" in our spiritual life, we start to fall backwards. Finally, as the Father commands us from the cloud, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." Ave Maria!
