ALEXANDRIA, LA (January 23, 2010) - The Diocese of Alexandria and the Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH, will hold the 16th annual Steubenville South Catholic Youth Conference on June 25-27, 2010.

This year's theme is "The Word Became Flesh". Conference speakers include Jason and Crystalina Evert, Steve Angrisano, Fr. Jose' Robles-Sanchez and Charlie Cantrell. Music will be by Josh Blakesley and Ike Ndolo.

Registration fee for youth and chaperones is $145, or adults can register to volunteer for free!

As i was laying in bed one night praying to the lord to help carry me through this troubled time, i told him i wanted to be his servant and he responded, my child gain back your strength and come to stubienville south as one of my children in faith. i want u to speak to the youth of your day and inspire them. !!!!!!!!! My name is Adam Walker, i'm 24 and i have been through a lot this year, i have lost my family over violence, i have lost my job over drugs and temptation, and im about to loss my house and my car and etc. I also lost my sisiter in 05, and my mom and 06, i even lost my faith in my savior. And it wasn't till very recently i have gained my faith back in the lord. about 6 years ago he was a very big part of my life, i have been to stubienville south, abbeyfest, nation catholic youth conference, i was also in s.w.a.t, and a community youth group. Church and places of worship,back then, was my way out from the violence at home. And over these past 6 years i forgot who he was and what he stood for, and it left me very shamed that i had turned my back to him over the evil ways of the devil. I ask to participate as a volunteer at stubienville south of the year 2011, i also ask that if possible that i be able to speak at the conference for i believe that the lord my savior is calling me to do so, so that i may continue and further my understanding, as well as everyone who will attend, of what god has in store for each and everyone of us! Thanks for your time!
