Actor Meets Movie Fans, Signs DVDs at Tustin, Brea LifeWay Christian Stores

Kevin Downes�Xa featured actor in the hit film COURAGEOUS, from the makers of FIREPROOF�Xjoins fans Jan. 17 at the Tustin LifeWay Christian store and Jan. 21 at the Brea LifeWay as part of the nationwide launch of COURAGEOUS DVD sales.

A veteran actor, writer, producer and director, California native Downes touched audiences with his portrayal in COURAGEOUS of Shane Fuller, a law enforcement officer forced to face the consequences of his choices. Additional recent credits for Downes include the films THR3E, THE MOMENT AFTER II: THE AWAKENING and MIDNIGHT CLEAR. He will direct the 2012 film AMAZING LOVE starring Sean Astin (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) and FIREPROOF��s Erin Bethea.

COURAGEOUS SYNOPSIS

Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers they are confident and focused, standing up to the worst the streets have to offer. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.

When tragedy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God . . . and to their children? Protecting the streets is second nature. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That takes courage.
