New Program Focusing on Family Life to Premiere January 4, 2012 on the CatholicTV® Network

WATERTOWN, MA (December 28, 2011) New Program Focusing on Family Life to Premiere January 4, 2012 on the CatholicTV® Network.

Coming in January 2012, the CatholicTV Network will debut relevant Catholic programming for Catholic families, focusing specifically on Catholic moms. The CatholicTV Network’s new talk show, entitled The Gist, will star Rachel Balducci, Danielle Bean, and Carolee McGrath. The Gist is set to premiere Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:30 AM.

The Gist, a half-hour weekly talk show, will feature two conversation segments, a review segment, as well as a break-out interview featuring a guest relevant to Catholic family life. The two conversation segments will cover topics relevant to Catholic women and Catholic moms as well. The review segment will present the hosts' thoughts on a particular piece of media such as a book, a film, or an album.

Rachel Balducci, a writer and a newspaper columnist, lives in South Carolina with her husband and their five lively sons and one daughter. Rachel’s first book, How Do You Tuck In a Superhero? debuted in April 2010. Rachel is also a well-known blogger; you can visit her blog at www.testosterhome.net.

Danielle Bean, a mother of eight, is the new editor-in-chief of the Catholic Digest magazine and Faith & Family Live.
