LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) -- In another victory for the pro-life movement, President Trump has appointed Dr. Charmaine Yoest to be the Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Yoest is the former CEO of Americans United for Life, a dedicated pro-life organization. She is also a mother of five.
Her appointment highlights President Trump's commitment to pro-life. It shows that he is listening to his Catholic advisers and that the influence of God is once again present in the White House.
We are witnessing a powerful change in our nation at the highest levels because we have prayed and our prayers have been heard. There is no other explanation. Although President Trump is widely believed to be a moderate when it comes to matters of faith, he has chosen to surround himself with people of faith. These people, who advise, guide, and implement every decision are informed by their conscience and belief in God.
The result is that life once again has a fighting chance in our nation, the first since Roe v. Wade. As we reverse laws and policies that are at their heart, anti-life, we change the very fabric of our nation's character.
Any nation that turns to God will be blessed.
Congratulations to Dr. Yoest, and congratulations to all those who have prayed and acted in defense of life. Our work is not done, but we have won a victory, and there are more to come if we persevere.
