In 1852, the great abolitionist leader Frederick Douglass was invited to speak on the Fourth of July and delivered the now famous speech entitled What to the Slave is the Fourth of July. Here is a stirring quote from that famous speech: \'For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and its crimes against God and man must be proclaimed and denounced.\'I had hoped that the verdict in Gosnell would have become that fire, that thunder, that whirlwind and that earthquake? However, a year has past. The utter evil exposed by the Gosnell matter has again disappeared from the public eye. Today, I became aware of a courageous group of filmmakers who want to light the fire by doing a feature length film.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - In May of 2013, a jury in the Philadelphia Trial of the serial killer/abortionist Kermit Gosnell found him guilty of three of the four charges of first degree murder for killing babies after they were born in his late term abortion clinic in Philadelphia.
The jury deliberated for ten days. Gosnell was found guilty of murdering Babies A, C and D. These three little children were referred to in the charges by initials because they had not been named before they were murdered by this evil man.
He murdered them by what he called snipping, severing their spinal cord with surgical scissors which he inserted into the back of their necks. Testimony from his employees was that he engaged in this act hundreds of times on other children.
The Jury was unable to agree on finding him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for killing Baby E, even though graphic testimony proved that the baby made a noise which sounded like a screech before being killed. The jury was unable to unanimously agree that the sound was a sign of life.
Gosnell was also found guilty of the third degree murder of one of the mothers from an overdose of anesthetics administered during one of the executions of her child in the womb.
Initially, there was a blackout on the Gosnell trial in the main stream media. Most of the American media has routinely denied the truth about what happens in every abortion for so long that even this obvious example of infanticide outside of the womb did not seem important to report.
The defenders of the Right to Life exposed the bias of the media through the use of alternative media sources. They were able to compel coverage. As a result, this trial may become the turning point in the movement to restore the Right to Life to our youngest neighbors in the first home of the whole human race.
In the gruesome testimony and graphic evidence presented at trial, what happens in every procured abortion is made clear. Our task is to keep them in the public eye and to use them in our work to restore the Right to Life to our smallest neighbors.
The details of the crimes were set forth in a 300-page grand jury report which received some coverage back when Gosnell was initially indicted. It described a house of horrors where dead babies and baby parts were kept in cabinets, jars and freezers.
I was sickened by the report and wrote numerous articles based upon it. The most graphic report I heard on main stream television was on CNN news. Brooke Baldwin interviewed the Prosecutor on the case, Seth Williams.
The details of the evil and the blunt description offered by the Prosecutor in this interview became too much for Ms. Baldwin to hear. At one point, she attempted to stop the prosecutor by mouthing an inane comment to the effect that all of this was alleged.
The Prosecutor persisted. He told Baldwin that everything he recounted was a part of Grand Jury testimony and in evidence. He spoke of the abortion mill as a House of Horrors and told her they had they found dead children in bottles of Formaldehyde.
He said they found severed feet and body parts in the same refrigerator where staff kept their lunch. Finally, he told her that Gosnell was paid for the murders on a sliding scale depending on the age and size of the child.
He openly decried the fact that these abortion clinics are not regulated, noting that barber shops receive more governmental scrutiny and oversight. He was correct. The trial transcripts reveal that everything Williams told Baldwin was accurate.
In fact, the trial transcript is far worse than the Grand Jury report.
During the interview I kept thinking of the words of Jesus found in the Gospels, 'For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light'. (Luke 8:17)
We have lost our National Soul!
We deny the first Right, the one upon which all other rights depend, the Right to Life. Instead our propaganda media uses expressions such as - abortion rights. Abortions have no rights, only people do. Every procured abortion is the intentional taking of innocent human life.
The humanity of the child in the womb is clear. It is capturing the hearts and minds of more and more people when presented. Medical Science is a Pro-Life ally. Sonograms showing us our first neighbors in their first home in the womb have become commonplace. We watch these children smile, play, feel pain and grow.
These beautiful images are now showing up on television commercials, being sent over our smart phones, Androids, blackberry devices and I-Pads; a sure sign in a consumerist culture that this technology is having an effect. Only a deceived person can fail to see that child in the womb is a human person, and our neighbor.
Physicians routinely operate in utero to help children in need and place them back in the first home of the womb to be delivered full term. Psychologists encourage communication between parents and their children in the womb. Parents are playing music to their children in the womb.
Yet, the crime of procured abortion is still protected by the civil law in the United States, even though it is a violation of the Natural Law Right to Life. Those who commit the heinous act against our youngest neighbors are protected by the police power of the State. America has become an accomplice to the killing of children.
The dehumanizing propaganda phrases still hide the perfidy of procured abortion. However, Medical science and technology confirm what our conscience told us all along. The child in the first home of the whole human race is our neighbor. We all know it is wrong to kill innocent neighbors - yet we still allow it.
The largest provider of procured abortions in the United States, Planned Parenthood, has the open support of the President of the United States. They receive millions in federal funds to kill children in the womb.
This organization is now so brazen that Eric Ferrero, Vice President for Communications of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America issued this statement upon hearing the Gosnell verdict:
"This case has made clear that we must have and enforce laws that protect access to safe and legal abortion, and we must reject misguided laws that would limit women's options and force them to seek treatment from criminals like Kermit Gosnell."
What the convicted murderer/abortionist Kermit Gosnell did is no different than what is done in every procured abortion. It is no different than what is done in Planned Parenthood facilities every day. It is just hidden from view.
The same sonogram technology used for baby's first picture is used to guide the instruments of execution or the injection of the chemical weapons. The same deadly snipping using surgical scissors which Gosnell performed is being done within the womb.
The same body parts found in Philadelphia are suctioned and scraped out of the wombs of women who have been lied to by evil organizations like Planned Parenthood all over our Nation. Yet, the crime of procured abortion is protected by the civil law. Those who commit these heinous acts against our youngest neighbors are protected by the police power of the State.
The Gosnell verdict called us to examine the bloody truth. We are killing our children based upon the sole criteria of convenience and whether or not they are wanted. The disposal of their little bodies is hidden from our eyes. We do not want to see what an abortion really looks like. Philadelphia is a snapshot.

Below is their Press release.
Today we are launching the biggest ever crowd funding campaign to make a TV movie about the serial killer, abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Dr. Kermit Gosnell is the most prolific serial killer in American History, but almost no one knows who he is. The Grand Jury investigating Kermit Gosnell's horrific crimes said this:
This case is about a doctor who killed babies ... What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy - and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors .... Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it. (Report of the Grand Jury)
Gosnell is serving several life sentences but the media basically ignored his crimes and his trial. They ignored the facts that emerged from the trial, like the fact that the babies he murdered suffered terribly. Here is what a neonatologist told the Grand Jury:
The neonatologist testified... If a baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a "tremendous amount of pain" when its spinal cord is severed. So, the fact that Baby Boy A. continued to move after his spinal cord was cut with scissors means that he did not die instantly. Maybe the cord was not completely severed. In any case, his few moments of life were spent in excruciating pain. (Report of the Grand Jury)
The mainstream media or Hollywood don't think this is a story. Even though Gosnell killed more people than Gary Ridgeway, John Wayne Gacey, The Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy combined. In a 30 year killing spree, it is thought he killed 1000s of babies. And that wasn't a national story?
"Reserved for media" - empty seats at Gosnell trial
But Jodi Arias who was on trial at the same time as Gosnell, for killing her boyfriend, just one person, was national news.Hollywood thinks the Jodi Arias story is so important they have already made a movie about her which has been shown multiple times on TV.
The censorship of the Gosnell story ends now. We are raising funds for this movie through a revolutionary website called Indiegogo. Indiegogo enables "crowdfunding" for important projects. But here's the catch. We've set the budget. But if we fail to raise our target budget, Indiegogo will return all the funds, we will received nothing and the film will never be made. Indiegogo allows us to bypass the Hollywood studios and the usual funding sources for movies.
Hollywood never would fund a movie such as this. We funded our last film FrackNation using crowdfunding. So far, the biggest "crowd funded" film of all-time is the Veronica Mars movie, a teen detective story that asked for $2.1m and raised $5.7m, we think the Gosnell movie is more important, we think you do too.
So we are asking for $2.1m and we are hoping to break the record and make history. With your help we're going to hire the best screenwriter, director and actors to make sure that the story of Kermit Gosnell gets into every home in America.
Please pledge right now. We tell a lot about ourselves by the stories we choose to tell and the ones we want to cover up or ignore. Please help us tell this important story.
It's a frightening testament to the power of the media that very few people even know about Kermit Gosnell: America's Most Prolific Serial Killer. This is your chance to bypass the media "information gatekeepers" to get tens of millions of Americans thinking about what happened in Philadelphia.
Please send a message that we don't have to wait for someone else to tell the stories that matter, we can do it ourselves. Please pledge right now and then please then get 10 friends to pledge.
Thank you so much for helping us make history.
