Katherine Heigl's exit strategy
FREE Catholic Classes
Chicago Tribune (MCT) - Is Katherine Heigl really leaving "Grey's Anatomy?" A report to that effect from a co-star is as yet unconfirmed, but we're going to go out on a limb here and saying, yes, yes, a thousand times yes!
Highlights
In recent years, the actress hasn't exactly been subtle about her disdain for the show that made her a star. In case ABC hasn't gotten the hint, we present the top 10 reasons to assume that the outspoken "Knocked Up" star is outta there.
10. Heigl took herself out of the running for an Emmy last year, saying her scripts were subpar.
9. After that, there were rumors that the show's writers would give her a brain tumor.
8. After that, the show's writers made her date a dead guy.
7. She told Vanity Fair that her character's love affair with a married man was a "ratings ploy."
6. She dropped out of contract talks with ABC during a 2007 salary dispute.
5. She said she dropped out "because I wanted to treat myself with the respect that I was not getting from them."
4. She went (very) public with the controversy over an alleged anti-gay slur by co-star Isaiah Washington.
3. She might want to spend more time with singer/songwriter Josh Kelley, whom she married in late 2007.
2. She has a movie career ("Knocked Up," "27 Dresses").
1. Did we mention that movie career?
