From sex to Netflix - What is YOUR state known for dropping this Lenten season?
What did you give up for Lent? Have you noticed that the item or activity you dropped this Lenten season matches several other Catholics in your circle? So has Google.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The top items list of things people in each state gave up were created by Google search terms "Lent" and "give up." The terms were tracked from February 1-8 and were consolidated into a comprehensive map.
The number one item believers have given up for Lent is food.
Fourteen of America's 50 states have dropped certain foods from their diet, including dairy, meat, sweets, sugar and chocolate.Texas, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Maine, Arkansas and South Carolina come in second-place with their separation from alcohol.
In a more specific report, Daily Mail specified that meat was the top choice in eight of the fourteen avoiding certain foods.Georgia, Oregon, Maine and Tennessee gave up social media, while people in Oklahoma claim they gave up fear.
People in Kansas have sworn off makeup and in Delaware several have vowed to abstain from the internet.
Meanwhile, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Alabama and New Hampshire decided to cease their sexual exploits.
