VATICANO (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - El Santo Padre preguntó "nosotros, ¿cómo oramos? Oramos así nomás por costumbre, piadosamente pero tranquilos, por costumbre, ¿o con coraje nos ponemos ante el Señor para pedir la gracia, para pedir por aquello por lo que oramos?".

"El valor en la oración: una oración que no sea valiente no es una verdadera oración. El coraje de tener confianza que el Señor nos escuche, el coraje de llamar a la puerta. El Señor lo dice: 'Porque todo el que pide recibe, el que busca encuentra y al que llama, se le abrirá'. Pero es necesario pedir, buscar y llamar".

"Nosotros, ¿nos involucramos en la oración? ¿Sabemos llamar al corazón de Dios?".

El Papa indicó que "en el Evangelio, Jesús dice: 'Si ustedes, que son malos, saben dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, cuánto más el Padre del cielo dará el Espíritu Santo a aquellos que se lo pidan'", lo cual "es una gran cosa".

"Cuando oramos con valor, el Señor nos da la gracia, y también se da a sí mismo en la gracia: el Espíritu Santo, es decir, ¡a sí mismo! El Señor nunca da o manda una gracia por correo. ¡Nunca! ¡la lleva Él! ¡Es Él, la gracia!".

"Lo que nosotros pedimos es un poco como el papel en el que se envuelve la gracia. Pero la verdadera gracia es Él que viene trayéndomela. Es Él. Nuestra oración, si es valiente, recibe aquello que pedimos, pero también aquello que es más importante: el Señor".

El Papa señaló que a veces "pedimos la gracia, y no nos atrevemos a decir: 'Pero tráela tú'. Sabemos que la gracia es siempre traída por Él: es Él quien viene y nos la da".

"Nosotros damos la fea impresión de tomar la gracia y no reconocer a quien nos la trae, aquel que nos la da: el Señor. Que el Señor nos conceda la gracia de darse a sí mismo, siempre, en cada gracia. Y que nosotros lo reconozcamos, y que lo alabemos como aquellos enfermos sanados del Evangelio. Porque en aquella gracia hemos encontrado al Señor".
