A disciple of St. Peter the Apostle and ordained by him as bishop of Ravenna, St. Apollinaris suffered continual tortures like being beaten on the mouth with stones for preaching and was eventually beaten to death. Father encourages us to follow the Saint's exhortations by casting all our cares and anxieties upon the Lord, for He will take care of everything. Ave Maria!
