Today is the fortieth anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. Fr. Elias preaches on how we have forsaken not only charity but the more basic requirement of justice where we unjustly deprive the most innocent among us of the very right to life. Not only are falling short, then, of the Judeo-Christian ideal embodied in the Ten Commandments, but of the natural ideal of being  just, civilized and humane. Ave Maria!
