Fr. Joachim on the parallel between Sampson and John the Baptist. Both were raised up at a time when salvation was desired, both were consecrated to God from their womb, both fasted from their youth. If God calls us to something then he will give the help needed to carry it out and we should not relent in our resolve to cooperate with His plan nor despair in our lack of worthiness. Ave Maria!
