Fr. Benedict draws from the readings for the day, showing that leaven that was mixed in with three measures of flour may be likened to Sacred Scripture. Mary shows how She had thoroughly interiorized the word of God in the Magnificat, which was the preparation for Her to conceive the Word of God made flesh. Through the practice of Lectio Divina, we may follow after Her lead in absorbing the word so that we may conceive the Word of God in our souls. Ave Maria!
