For the first time a Saudi monarch has met the Pope. True, itís not King Abdullah Al-Saudís first visit to the Vatican Ė he was here in 1999, as his countryís heir apparent. But now he has met the Pope as King of Saudi Arabia, and as the official guardian of Islamís two holiest shrines: Mecca and Medina.
