Anglicans to Ordain Women as Bishops

The Vatican has said it regrets a vote by the Anglican Church of England to ordain women as bishops. In a statement, the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity said it represented a rupture with the Churches of the first millennium meaning principally the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
