Fr. Elias and the need to avoid being hypocrites in our practice religion, namely we must practice what we preach, especially during lent. Father also relates this to St. Cyril of Jerusalem who contended with Julian the Apostate the Emperor of Rome who from the bad example of hypocritical Christians in his own family apostatized and caused great anguish to Christians throughout the empire.
