Our Lord is tempted by the Devil after having fasted for forty days in the desert when he would be most vulnerable. Fr. Joachim shows that this simple presentation of temptation is is the Devil's way, appealing to pride, and he employs it very well in our "Me" generation, where selfishness reigns. Ave Maria!
