CHICAGO, IL (Catholic Online) - The expanded network is due to go live on Thursday. Cities including Huntley, Marengo, Oswego, and Yorkville will be receiving 4G coverage. Bourbonnais and Bradley will also be covered in the Kankakee area, while the network is also bringing 4G to the Ottawa area.

The carrier's 4G network will be available in Chicago, Rockford, Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington, Peoria, Springfield, Decatur and the Quad Cities. The expansion is part of a proposed plan to extend coverage in 46 markets and introduce 4G in 22 markets throughout the nation. Customers with 4G LTE-enabled devices will connect to Verizon's 3G network automatically when they are outside of the 4G LTE coverage.
