I have read all the web documents I can find on St. Felicity & Perpetua. It is incredible to me how much early Christians suffered and died for their faith. The brave martyrs who gave up their lives and refused to deny Jesus, helped spread the christian faith to the world. This is a well documented account, thanks to Perpetua's diary.
My favorite martyr is St. Joan of Arc. She willingly accepted the call to save France and gave her life for that cause. It is most amazing how much documentation there is, available on the web, that validates what Joan said about her calling and guidance by God. Actually, most of these martyr accounts CAN be scientifically validated and proven to be true. jdh
Thanks for the information that is sent daily to my computer, such as the Saint of the Day. I am not a Roman Catholic, but have had some things learned from the Brothers, Priests and Monks that broght things to me while I attendwd Greater Latrobe Senior High School, AND THE Vo-Tech School that I also went to for three years in which was the start of me being who I am today.
Reverend David Edward Stockberger
After having taken due instruction, I wish to enter the Church as an adult convert. God has chosen St. Perpetua to be my patron, and therefore it is her name I intend to take when undergoing baptism. I feel that she and St. Felicity are wonderful examples of what it means to be a Christian and to put one's life on the line, as all of us must if we wish to attain Paradise.
St. Felicity & Perpetua were martyred in 203 by the Romans. Perpetua was 23 yrs. old and had a baby, she was also married. You can get more info in "the passion of st perpetua". She left a journal written in latin. I just finished reading it... Charlie
