Pro-Life 'Flash Mob' Upstages Pro-Abortion Rally in Chicago -- again!

CHICAGO, IL (April 8, 2011) - These two short videos show how Catholic youth in Chicago upstaged an abortion rally and gave a hero's welcome to legendary pro-life leader Joe Sheidler. Is this a symptom of a pivotal change in the pro-life movement today?

Saturday, April 2, was an evening to honor Pro-life Action League founder and president, Joseph Scheidler, as pro-lifers from all over the US gathered for a special "Evening of Tribute". On this occasion, abortion advocates organized a protest against Scheidler, who they claim, "works actively to eliminate access to reproductive healthcare and promotes the harassment of patients who enter family planning clinics for a variety of services."

After hearing about the plan to protest Mr. Scheidler's tribute, the young organizers of the famed "Chicago Pro-Life Flash Mob", once again, took to the streets in what proved to be a poignant reunion for both sides of the issue.

In part one of this epic video, Joe Scheidler is surprised by a special red-carpet tribute by the "Chicago Life Mob", as he arrived for the dinner honoring him. Later, pro-lifers encounter abortion advocates in an intersection face-off, mediated by the Chicago Police. The youth greeted the virulent "pro-choicers" with joyous chants, music, and prayer.

Part two recounts the transformation of downtown Chicago later that evening, when the pro-life youth, joined by many bystanders, marched from the Windy City's famed "Magnificent Mile" to Millennium Park, witnessing to the culture of life with contagious exuberance and joy.
