How Different is Good Strikes Gold, Nick the Wise Old Cat 5th Book Wins Gold Mom's Choice Award

HUNINGTON WOODS, MI (December 15, 20100 - Michigan publishing and consulting firm Nick the Cat, LLC is honored to announce Book I titled, "How Different is Good", from "The Importance of Friendship" series has won a GOLD Mom's Choice Award. With this award, all five books from the Nick the Wise Old Cat series have won GOLD!
The Importance of Family three books, "How I Found My Family", "How My Family Grew Overnight" and "How My Family Changed" along with the Animated DVD and the Audio Book were published in April, 2010 and won Gold on September 3, 2010. The companion holiday book to the family series titled, "Nick's Holiday Celebration" published late November won Gold on December 2, 2010. The Importance of Friendship' "How Different is Good" was published in September with the Gold Award announcement received December 11, 2010.
Nick the Cat, LLC CEO Keith Ramundo said he believes a series winning Gold as Nick the Wise Old Cat has done this year is unprecedented. The level of pride and excitement among our staff and with author Linda Sicks and Illustrator Dave Messing over this achievement is beyond words.
As Nick is a real life character of homeless origins rescued and cared for by the author (aka Nice Lady in the stories), a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the three core books in the Importance of Family series benefit Adopt-a-Pet.com, one of the largest animal rescue organizations in North America.
Also, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the holiday book and the Friendship series benefit the Thomas Hartman Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Inc. Monsignor Thomas Hartman and Foundation spokesperson, actress Susan Lucci were thrilled learning that "How Different is Good" won Gold after learning less than two weeks ago, "their" holiday book won a Gold award as well.

Author: Michigan resident Linda Sicks was inspired to write the Nick the Wise Old Cat series when she realized that during the past 12 years, she and Nick lived through many of life's ups and downs together, and that he was indeed her family.
