The Old Testament and the Sacraments are topics of new CDU online seminars

Hamilton, VA (October 14, 2010) - Catholic Distance University is offering several new online seminars at the university's online campus. These seminars, "Historical Books of the Old Testament," October 18 - November 8, and "The Role of the Sacraments in our Daily Lives," October 31 - November 21, provide authentic, systematic exploration of Catholic teachings in a convenient format that fits into adult learners' busy schedules.

Take a three-week journey through the Old Testament to better understand important Biblical history and to see how this history fits into Biblical theology and Catholic theology. "Historical Books of the Old Testament," October 18 - November 8, will cover the period of Biblical history from the crossing of the Jordan until the Exile as it weaves a narrative thread which connects the history of Israel and describe important figures from this Biblical period. Enrollment is open for this seminar through October 22.

"The Role of the Sacraments in our Daily Lives," looks at the sacraments of the Catholic Church and the important role the sacraments play, not only in our lives of faith, but as part of what Catholics do every day. This seminar, offered in conjunction with the EWTN radio show, CDU Presents, can be taken for undergraduate or graduate credit. Free RCIA classes for Students and Catechists from Catholic Online School
