FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
After 17 years, Patricia Watson has written, produced and starred in SOULMATES, A ROCK OPERA. Famous poet/composer Rod McKuen played the role of the priest and Mary Jo Catlett (Diff'rent Strokes, Serial Mom and The Champ) played the Nun. (Mary Jo is a devout Catholic and her sister is a Nun). Patricia was inspired in a church in Germany when she was recording with EMI records (the song for the WWF's 25th Anniversary) and has been empassioned and directed by the Holy Spirit ever since. Against all worldly odds and raising 3 sons, she had it successfully produced on Maui last August and again in December.
ASCAP magazine, the head of musicals for ASCAP and the President of Membership, have all given Patricia Watson their full support.
The love story is about 2 rock stars who have to find their own souls before God can put them together with their true SOULMATE.
SOULMATES received rave reviews from secular and Catholic newspapers. "The music is memorable long after one has left the theater" and "Lively Rock Opera deserves wider Audience" (HONOLULU STAR BULLETIN .... "SOULMATES rocks the MACC" Maui News
Patricia is presently editing the video and audio to prepare the presentation to take to major centers. She would appreciate support from the Catholic community in any way they feel called.
