NEW YORK PREMIERE OF NEW MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR FILM DOCUMENTARY ABOUT POPE JOHN PAUL II

LOS ANGELES, CA (JUNE 13, 2009) - The Church of St. Paul the Apostle is proud to present the official New York Red Carpet Premiere of the new documentary film TESTIMONY: The Untold Life of Pope John Paul, on June 27th, at the Bruno Walter Theater at Lincoln Center, located at 65th streets and Amsterdam Avenue at 7pm.

Recounted through in-depth interviews with the Pontiff's trusted secretary of 40 years, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz - and blended with never-before-seen archival footage of John Paul's early career and eventual ascendancy to the papacy - TESTIMONY is a revealing portrait of a man who touched the lives of billions, and changed history.

Lovingly narrated by film and TV star MICHAEL YORK (Omega Code, the Bible Series), and featuring music by Oscar® winning composer Vangelis, TESTIMONY was filmed in secret, off-limits corners of the Vatican, and is full of new and fascinating revelations about the Pope, including recently declassified footage of a second assassination attempt.

TESTIMONY recently received a European premiere screening at the Vatican - attended by Pope Benedict, various heads of state, and thousands of multi-denominational spectators on October 16th, 2008.

Special invited guests to the premiere will be Michael York (the narrator of the film), and the film's producer, Przemyslaw Jan Hauser. Following the premiere there will be a question and answer period with Michael York conducted by Busted Halo.

The TESTIMONY premiere will be held as part of the Church of St. Paul's American Pilgrimage to close the Jubilee year of St. Paul. Advance reservations are required; limited quantities available.
