H2ONews teams up with Catholic.net to offer users daily news videos

New Haven, CT (JANUARY 27, 2009) – H2ONews.org and Catholic.net announce a partnership to offer users multimedia content. The daily news videos bring reports on the Pope and the Church throughout the world. The feed is displayed right on the Catholic.net’s homepage.

H2Onews content focuses on the life of the Church. “We offer worldwide news stories on social and cultural events pertaining to Catholics and are happy to extend our services to the Catholic.net community,” said Jesus Colina, Editorial Director of H2Onews.org.

H2onews.org is a Catholic news service on a global scale that creates and distributes daily news in multimedia format in 9 different languages. H2onews.org’s mission is to give a voice to Catholic communities everywhere.

Catholic.net users have free access to the H2ONews.org content. Rosalia Tenorio, Director of Catholic.net English, stated that it is a blessing for Catholic.net to be able to offer users the H2Onews multimedia content. “The service that H2Onews gives to the Universal Church is of utmost importance for the New Evangelization. They are definitely helping us to proclaim the Gospel from the housetops” (Luke 12:3).

H2ONews received the 2008 Bravo! Award, in the New Technologies category. Catholic.net is committed to endorsing authentic Catholic news sources, such as H2ONews.org, Zenit.org and NCRegister.com, all Catholic.net partners. Authentic Catholic news outlets allow users to access genuine news coverage on issues of importance to the Church. This type of alternative media empowers users to avoid misrepresentations often encountered on secular mainstream media coverage of the Catholic Church.

The partnership between Catholic.net and H2Onews.org provide users with instant access to a video source with a Catholic insight on issues of the day, in addition to a wide variety of featured Catholic videos about important Church events around the world, the latest liturgical celebrations from the Eternal City and the most sought-after coverage: The Holy Father’s daily activities.
