Paradisus Dei Offers New Marriage Program to Churches at No Cost

DUBUQUE, IA (March 5, 2015) - The Choice Wine: 7 Steps to a Superabundant Marriage is a transformational, new marriage program from Paradisus Dei. And it is available to churches across the country for free.
Paradisus Dei learned the effectiveness of offering no cost programming to churches through their men's program, That Man is You! Starting humbly in Houston, TX with a handful of churches in 2001, That Man is You! grew by word of mouth to almost 500 churches across the country, serving over 20,000 men. The couples program was the next logical step for this growing ministry group.
"It was actually the suggestion of the men in That Man is You! and their wives," said Steve Bollman, founder of Paradisus Dei. "For years, the wives have been asking for a similar program. Nonetheless, when we asked them, the vast majority said that they would prefer a program that they could do together with their husbands. Our survey results indicate that this was really the right answer."
The Choice Wine: 7 Steps to a Superabundant Marriage is a nine session, video-based formation program that teaches couples 7 practical steps to virtually divorce-proof their marriages. In putting these steps into practice, they can experience the superabundant love and mercy of God in their marriages and families and realize a foretaste of paradise here on earth. It will be available to churches everywhere this coming September, coinciding with the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.
Providing this program to churches at no cost is no small task, but is essential to the mission of Paradisus Dei. It relies on the generosity of individual donors and fund raising efforts such as Put Up A Prayer, a national 3-point contest for kids and adults, where players have to get sponsored for every shot attempt they take. "Put Up A Prayer is a fun way for us to get the word out about The Choice Wine and raise money so we can offer it at no charge to churches. It is exciting to have some father and son teams and even a priest signed up to compete!," said Bollman.
"Marriage is 'A sacrament that leads us to the heart of God's plan...a plan of communion,'" said Pope Francis during his Wednesday catechesis on April 2, 2014. The Holy Family at Nazareth is the perfect example of God's plan of communion and is the example of marriage and family life used in The Choice Wine.
"We are excited to offer couples a concrete, yet authentic way to experience the superabundant love and mercy of God in such an affordable way. Hopefully this will give churches a compelling way to engage couples in the excitement created by upcoming The World Meeting of Families," said Brian Topping, Product Manager at Paradisus Dei.
