WATERTOWN, MA (August 21, 2012) – The CatholicTV Network will exhibit at the upcoming Catholic Marketing Network’s International Tradeshow in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX from August 28-31, 2012.
The Catholic Marketing Network has partnered with SQPN for this event. The Catholic New Media Conference (CNMC) will be held in association with the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show and the annual conference of the Catholic Writers Guild.
The Catholic New Media Conference is a festive, educational, and international conference focused on evangelization and building community through the use of new media. This event is designed to connect, guide and inform Catholic communicators as a response to the Church's call for new evangelization.
The purpose of the Catholic Marketing Network is to encourage the most effective production and distribution of Catholic literature, music, gifts, and other products and services consistent with the teachings of the Holy Roman Catholic Church; to provide a common forum for the mutual interchange of ideas and suggestions relating to the organization and its individual members; and, to provide for the common concerns and interests of the organization and its members by organizing and supporting conferences, conventions, publications, and other mediums deemed desirable.
Speakers during the event will include:
Lisa Hendey, Catholic wife and mom, is the founder and webmaster of CatholicMom.com and the author of A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms: 52 Companions for Your Heart, Mind, Body and Soul and The Handbook for Catholic Moms: Nurturing Your Heart, Mind, Body and Soul. Lisa writes for several online and print publications, enjoys speaking around the country and hosts the weekly Catholic Moments Podcast. Visit her at LisaHendey.com.
Fr. Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R. is a founding member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and has been active in teaching, preaching retreats and parish missions, and giving spiritual direction. In 1988, Fr. Apostoli was instrumental in helping found the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal. He is the Vice-Postulator for the cause for the canonization of Archbishop Fulton Sheen and the author of numerous books, including What to Do When Jesus is Hungry, Fatima for Today, Following Mary to Jesus: Our Lady as Mother, Teacher, and Advocate and Walk Humbly With Your God: Simple Steps to a Virtuous Life.
During the CMN the first feature film on St. Augustine will debut as well. Restless Heart provides a historic backdrop and one of the Church’s most beloved and well-known saints – Augustine of Hippo – as its central character to tell a familiar story – as timely today as it was only a few generations after Jesus walked on Earth. It is the story of one who pursues fame and fortune without a moral compass – and the changes that occur when events lead him to see the light. It also chronicles the collapse of the Roman world and how Augustine laid the intellectual foundations of what became Europe.
The American premiere of Restless Heart: The Confessions of Augustine will be on August 29, 2012 and will be held in the Champions Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel, which is adjacent and connected to the Convention Center. An exclusive, extended trailer of the film is available online now at www.RestlessHeartFilm.com.
