Orlando LE - Calls prove Zimmerman instructing wife

Former neighborhood watch leader who killed Trayvon Martin instructed his wife to transfer money from bank accounts as shown by jailhouse calls.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - On Monday, the calls were released by prosecutors, which could play an important role in George Zimmerman's second bond hearing, which will take place next week.

In April, Zimmerman was released on a $150,000 bond; a few days after the calls took place. According to his wife, she didn't know how money had been raised from a website that was created for his legal defense. The calls show that George and Shellie Zimmerman knew that $135,000 had been raised by the site, according to prosecutors.

Last week, Shellie Zimmerman was arrested on a charge of making a false statement.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense.
