Santorum: Obama Talks Inclusion While Advocating Destruction of Over 1 Million Children Every Year

We stand for the truth. We stand for life. We stand for love, and we will win

"The pro-life movement has always been about love, but for far too long, we thought the pro-life movement was only about love of the child in the womb," Santorum said. "But of course that's not true. So what we did was put our heart into action by being out there on the front lines loving and embracing mom and grandma, fathers, families who were going through a horrible time in some cases. And that has made all the difference. But doesn't love always make all the difference."

TAMPA, FL. (CNSNews.com) - In the lead up to Mitt Romney's nomination at the Republican National Convention, GOP runner up Rick Santorum - who consistently accused Romney of being insufficiently conservative - said Republicans can be proud of their nominee.

In the same speech, Santorum said that Obama and the American left talk about inclusion while advocating the destruction of more than a million lives each year through the abortion of unborn children.

"We can walk out of Tampa proudly with a platform and with a nominee who stands for life, who stands for love and a welcoming society that is inclusive," Santorum said. "I love how the left and this president talks about inclusion as they advocate the discarding and destruction of over 1 million children every year. Some inclusion. We stand for the truth. We stand for life. We stand for love, and we will win."

Citing that public opinion is shifting toward the pro-life movement, Santorum said at an event co-sponsored by the Family Research Council and the Republican National Coalition for Life, that such centers helped dispel the accusations of judgment to one of compassion.

Santorum won 11 state Republican primary and caucuses before he dropped out and endorsed presumptive nominee Romney. Santorum spoke this week to the full Republican National Convention this week.

"The reason it has changed, that's the crisis pregnancy centers across the country," Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator, said. "They are now the face in the community of the pro-life movement. It is the face of love."

A Gallup poll in May found that "pro-choice" Americans were at an all time low of 41 percent, 50 percent were pro-life.

Linda Fitch & JoAnn, We pray that reasonable True Catholics, that supported Obama, in the past to have awakened by now! However, we will pray with Christ up into the last hour for them to Wake up!...Look around...and See! But if those Catholics do not awaken, I fear, with all the reason and knowledge made available to them in these last four years, that they are only fooling themselves, and are Catholics in name Only, if they vote the Obama ticket.
How could it be any other way? They do not follow Church teaching, allow themselves to vote for Abortion, Sterilization, etc. Their Dem. party does not speak of Love or Faith...a far cry from Catholicism, R/R, Rick Santorum, and the True American way. In my mind, I would view these non-mentally challenged, healthy Free Choice Catholics as Apostates. How can they be called otherwise?
This is more than mere voting this party or that party as usual. There are an awful lot of things at stake here. Including our Religious Freedom and Way of Life. I know that the two of you realize it. Perhaps we just have more apostates than we care to admit?
Let us pray that this board may make a difference for the better. That's what we here are called to do. (Please note* I am Not being judgmental. It is only Reasonable thought.) Keep posting! Blessed Day...

buster: You are so right. I thought Rick did a wonderful job, along with a few others that were exceptional. I voted for him in the primary. He won in my state, but needless to say, other states weren't quite as wise. Have you, by any chance, read Agenda 21? If not, do so if you get a chance. It is quite lengthy but very enlightening. I'm amazed about how few "true" Catholic Patriots are on this board. Enjoy your posts. God bless.

So true about the high number of Catholics that voted for Obama. We struggle with family members that call themselves "Catholic" but whose beliefs are so foreign to our faith. Maybe God has place us here, at this time to be outspoken about our faith and his love for all of us so that we can save those family and friends that are lost, but, Man it is getting tough! My family is just starting to gear up for this crazy political season. It is a bit harder when our leaders are not as strong as we have hoped they would be. But speakers like Rick S, do make me smile, If he can weather all those arrows they flung at him and still be standing at the end of the day is inspiring. I just hope that all of us here gain strength because i am afraid that even if Romney wins the other side will just get angrier and more violent.

Great speech from Santorum and all the speakers last night. Santorum's speech must have caused the people of ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN choke and cough. I thought the line up of Small Business owners as speakers was an intelligent move by the Romney people. Gov Niki Haley did a great job detailing the problems Obama has caused her state. Ann Romney hit a grand slam with her speech.

Linda, your comment of 48% of Catholics may still vote for Obama, needs much thought.
Considering Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sebelius are all Catholics. Too many are Catholic in name only. A few bishops need to remind these people that they are in danger of being tossed out. We too are looking for good leadership within the church. Our cross is very heavy, God Bless

Something else that should be given more publicity are the "Safe Haven Laws". I'm not sure if they're national or state-by-state, but any mother of a newborn can safely leave that infant at any hospital, police, or fire station; no questions asked and with no criminal liability. Too often newborns are being found in dumpsters, plastic bags, etc., left to die. Mothers who have given birth and are overwhelmed need to be made aware of this law.

Rob: Too bad you were so bored. Ann Romney's speech was heartfelt, sincere and full of love and compassion for her husband and America. I actually like her better than Mitt. Chris Christie's speech was dynamic. Made me wish that he was our candidate for president. God bless.

Amen. The truth. May God bless Rick Santorum and keep him strong to fight the good fight the necessary fight the fight we must win for the sake of the children, for our nation, and our souls.

If you are a democrat, join us in this fight! Stand for religious freedom! Stand for the least among us!

I hope and pray that Catholics, will wake up. In 2008, 56% of Catholics voted for Obama, since he now has shown his true ideology (he endorses gay marriage and abortion) the polls now show that 48% of Catholics are still going to vote Democratic. I just cannot understand, why so many Catholics are still behind Obama. I will continue to pray that they will come to their senses before the election.
