Numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate certificate incomplete

Investigators for an Arizona sheriff's volunteer posse have declared that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is fraudulent. Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse claimed last March that there was enough probable cause that the president's long-form birth certificate, released by the White House in April of last year was a computer-generated forgery.

Chief Investigator Mike Zullo says that numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that these sections weren't filled out. Sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study however were completed.

LOS ANGEELS, CA (Catholic Online) - Arpaio now unequivocally states that investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Chief Investigator Mike Zullo says that numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that these sections weren't filled out. Sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study however were completed.

Zullo says investigators previously didn't know the meaning of codes. These codes were since explained by a 95-year-old former state worker who signed the president's birth certificate.

Zullo said a writer who published a book about Obama's birth certificate and was aiding investigators let them listen in on an interview he conducted of the former state worker.

The Obama campaign has declined comment on Arpaio's allegations. In response, the Arizona Democratic Party said in a statement that Arpaio's investigation is intended to draw attention away from problems within his own agency, such as hundreds of sex-crime cases that the sheriff's office failed to adequately investigate over a three-year period.

Many traditionalists maintain Obama is ineligible to be president because, they contend, he was born in Kenya, while Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama's citizenship, and state officials did again this week.

"President Obama was born in Honolulu and his birth certificate is valid," Joshua A. Wisch, a special assistant to Hawaii's attorney general, said in a statement. "Regarding the latest allegations from a sheriff in Arizona, they are untrue, misinformed, and misconstrue Hawaii law."

Wisch reiterated that "not only are Hawaii's vital records some of the best managed, but they also have some of the strongest restrictions on access to prevent identity theft and fraud."

In response, Obama released a copy of his long-form birth certificate in an attempt to quell citizenship questions.

Courts have since rebuffed lawsuits over the issue.

I get a kick that some immature people just can't get used to the fact that a black-man with a African father a Irish white mom and a Islamic name got freely elected to be President of The United States.How are these juvenile mind sets going to deal with the future of America where this will be only more common ?

Is this a Roman Catholic (RC) site? If the answer is "no", then I have no comment....I will continue to read some articles and overlook others and, make no comments if I disagree with the published statements. .
However, if the contributors or commenters are Roman Catholics, then in my humble opinion, the editors might consider being strict and consider deleting or not publishing uncharitable comments that are often allowed to be published.at this site.

Good points all. If your look on your own family tree using ancestry.com you will find incomplete documents and inaccuracies in the official public records of the time. The main point is that Obama was sworn as President. It will only be over if someone new is sworn as President in January of 2013. I agree with Rob and Dr Conspiracy. Follow the money and vote in November

The faked document in this case is not Obama's birth certificate; it 's the race code table that Zullo presented as the "1961 vital statistics instruction manual." In fact, what he showed was the 1968 table, and the codes are different. This is fully documented from government documents in my article at:

What we have experienced from the Maricopa County Sheriff's office investigation of Obama's birth certificate is the most egregious example of bearing false witness and slander. It is a moral outrage.

This would be important IF IT WERE TRUE. But it is not.

The Sheriff got the meaning of the numeric codes wrong. In fact, he was not even using the right codebook--the one that applied to 1961.

It is suffice to say the real problem we have in this country today is not whether Obama is an American citizen or who his real father is but the fact we have so many American citizens who do not accept God as their father and not sure Christ is his Son.

What is the background of these investigators that some how we are just supposed to accept their findings? From the sounds of it they have the skills of forensic investigators and must be practicing attorney's in Hawaii since they seem to know so much about their laws. Since we Catholic's are all about the truth, how about a little digging into who these guys are, their education and experience and particularly who is paying for this little junket.

This was a pretty good discription of what was discussed at Arpaio's news conference, but one very important point was missed. The investigators looked at Hawaii law and found that they were very, very lax in checking out information supplied by third parties in order to get birth certificates. As a result, for years Hawaii has been accepting at face value statements provided to them regarding the births of many claiming to have been born in Hawaii. All they require is the statement from any adult who lived and paid taxes in Hawaii for one year prior to the claimed birth. Consequently, many Japanese nationals were awarded citizenship on this basis following WWII. The law has not been changed. So in the state of Hawaii, a BC must be considered prima facie evidence requiring additional documentation to prove actual US citizenship. By itself, a Hawaian BC is very poor evidence of birth in Hawaii. Of course, this has nothing to do with Obama's BC being forged, but the evidence presented in the past two news conferences that it was is compelling to say the least.
