Pro-life Candidates to Target 2012 Campaign for Graphic Ads strategy concerning abortion

25 major media markets targeted for a major pro-life messaging strategy

Based on the response and effectiveness of the ads from Missy Smith's campaign for House Delegate from the District of Columbia, a search is now underway for 25 candidates who will take the same message and media strategy into the top 25 media markets in America.

WASHINGTON, DC (Catholic Online) - The 2010 campaign for the seat of Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives for Washington, DC, was also a test run for Pro-life candidates as Missy Smith used pro-life graphic ads that illustrated the truths of abortion.

While Eleanor Holmes Norton was re-elected, Smith's ads were allowed to run and we seem by scores of people in and beyond the District of Columbia. The ads were run more than 235 times with repeats given during media coverage of the campaign.

Smith's Campaign Manager, Randall Terry, indicated this past Friday that, based on the results of the Washington campaign strategy, they are planning to enlist 25 new candidates to run in the 25 largest media markets in America for the 2012 elections.

"The TV ads made a major impact both inside and outside of Washington," Terry stated. "In 2012, we want to do the same thing at a much greater scale."

"By running campaign ads in the top 25 media markets, we can reach 1/3 of the nation with a message about the truth and horror of abortion."

When a candidate is lawfully on the ballot, rules concerning the content of political ads allow for ads, such as the ones from Missy Smith's campaign [http://www.missysmith2010.com/] in the District of Columbia, which graphically described the murder of unborn children.

Terry stated that a steady stream of financial support for Smith's campaign and TV ad purchases flowed in from many outside of Washington, DC right up to the election.

Smith's campaign also received a lot of coverage from media locally, nationally and even some internationally. Her campaign was mentioned on at least 105,000 blog posts by the time of the election.

Randall Terry, who founded Operation Rescue in 1986, stated that he is also seriously considering a campaign for the Presidency in 2012 in order to move the debate and media distribution for ads concerning the truth of abortion to the national level.

"I am under no delusion that I canwin," Terry stated. "But we know that debate concerning the truth of abortion could brought into the political spotlight just by carefully placing one ad on national TV before Super Tuesday."

Recruiting for the 25 candidates will begin soon.

Randall Terry running for President is a brilliant idea!! Wasting our breath on politicians in office will never work, since they go with the prevailing winds, which up to now have been pro-choice, a euphemism for abortion. We need to educate the voters who have no idea what an abortion entails, changing the winds' courses. Terry will do just that in national media ads. I am a pro-life counselor and am stunned at how little these abortion-minded women know about their bodies and the individual human being with distinct DNA that is developing in their wombs . Abortion mills consistently refuse to do ultrasounds for fear of losing a client. This is obscene and morbid. When we perform ultrasounds in our pro-life clinics, the women can't believe what they are seeing.
Show those abortion pictures to the voters to graphically illustrate that this developing baby, with its unique DNA, is much much more than a blob of expendable tissues.
Randall Terry is my hero! Go for it and may the Holy Spirit walk with you.

Abortion horror is a losing strategy for conservative pro-life politicians in 2012.

As long as folks are worried about employment and feeding their families, they won't listen to messages on social issues. I have been active in the pro-life movement for 25 years, and we have not always been smart about our politics. This is a time to elect pro-life people, fix the economy, and then enact pro-life legislation.

To not illustrate the horror of aborting a developing baby is like showing pics of the holocaust without graphic displays of the ovens, the mangled bodies, the beatings etc..even at the nurenburg trials these movies revealed with telling horror its impact. Abortion is murder of the worst kind and many teens still think its not a child but a glob of blood..........

Good idea to go for it. The time is ripe to win this once and for all.

It looks is a slam dunk. It should be easy to find candidates to run for office to oppose abortion. What better service could a politician render?

Then consider how easy it will be to win the debates:
Is a defense of this practice even remotely possible? (mention Moloch as you answer)
How could the nation have allowed this for the last 37 years?
What reply can a pro-abort make? Splutter a bit, tell a lie or two, then quit and go home.

Good article, This is great news. This brings the reality of abortion to the forefront of American society. Of course we can expect the Liberal Establishment to howell like crazy but that's OK. Let's expose them for who and what they are. We can show the mass public the murderers that the Liberal Establishment are. I'll be making contributions to help make this happen. I hope you will too.

Time for these newly elected pro-life politicians to put their money where their mouth is. Finding 25 candidates should be no problem at all based on everything I've read. I hope it's true. I hope this issue is followed closely. I will write to my new elected GOP house member to encourage his participation.
