Segregation According to Sexuality? Legal Strategy to Force Homosexual 'Marriage'

The campaign is being organized by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender human rights organization OutRage!

This unmarried, heterosexual couple is a part of a revolutionary movement in British society. The members no longer want marriage to be recognized for what it is, a lifelong union between one man and one woman open to the bearing and rearing of children. They are dedicated to making the State give legal equivalency to non-marital relationships, homosexual or heterosexual. Then, they want to force the rest of society to call what can never be a marriage to be a marriage (homosexual partnerships) by using the Police Power of the State to enforce their new order.

CHESAPEAKE, VA (Catholic Online) - The Monday, November 8, 2010 edition of the Guardian featured an article by Tom Freeman and Katherine Doyle entitled "Heterosexual couple make second attempt for civil partnership." The article begins, "A heterosexual couple will request a civil partnership - available only to same-sex couples in the UK - at a register office in London tomorrow, to take a stand against a system which they say "segregates couples according to their sexuality".

Tom Freeman and Katherine Doyle are part of a campaign led by "The Equal Love campaign" and "Project OutRage". The group is dedicated to Cultural Revolution. They acknowledge that their effort "aims to challenge the twin bans on gay marriages and heterosexual civil partnerships, with eight couples filing applications at register offices and then, when they are refused, bringing a joint legal action in the courts to secure a change in the law. The campaign is being organized by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender human rights organization OutRage!"

"Starting on Tuesday 2 November, eight couples will file applications at their local register offices. Four same-sex couples will apply for civil marriages and four heterosexual couples will apply for civil partnerships. Every week until 14 December, one couple will make an application. If the couples are turned away, as we expect they will be, we plan to take legal action. Denying them equal treatment is contrary to the Human Rights Act."

They boast  "Our legal team will argue in the courts that the bans on gay marriages and heterosexual civil partnerships are an unlawful and unjustified discrimination. In a democracy, gay and straight couples should be equal before the law. Both civil marriages and civil partnerships should be open to everyone without discrimination."

The Guardian quotes Freeman and Doyle, "We want to secure official status for our relationship in a way that supports the call for complete equality and is free of the negative, sexist connotations of marriage. We are taking this stand against discrimination and in support of legal equality for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation. The 'separate but equal' system which segregates couples according to their sexuality is not equal at all. All loving couples should have access to the same institutions, regardless of sexuality. There should be parity of access."

This is not the first time the two were turned down in their effort to form a Civil Partnership. The Council which refused to grant them "civil partnership" status before explained to the Guardian, "Like all councils, we must follow the requirements of the Civil Partnership Act 2004, which states that to qualify for a civil partnership, couples must be of the same sex. Whilst we can't legally accept the proposed civil partnership, we would be delighted to offer the couple a civil marriage."

Remember, Civil Partnerships are already legally available in the United Kingdom. What is clear is they were never the goal of the Homosexual Equivalency Activists but only a stepping stone. This campaign involves a strategic and deliberate use of the Courts to bring about a Cultural Revolution.

The Human Rights Campaign is the leading Homosexual Equivalency Activist organization in the United States. They are well funded and they are pursuing the same strategy. They state on their web site "Only marriage can provide families with true equality. However, domestic partnerships and other forms of relationship recognition, though limited, provide important and tangible protections." In reality, if you examine their strategic efforts, their cases, and their goals you discover quickly that the Civil Union strategy is a stepping stone and subterfuge. It is a stop along the way to the goal of eliminating the special status given to true marriage and the family and society founded upon it. They want to replace marriage with a counterfeit using the same word and build a new social order.

The lawyers of the Human Rights Campaign are advocates of what I have long called ...

Homosexuals and others have been here since the beginning of time. We're all born sinners and in time we become new people in Christ just like Paul. In his writings he tells us of the day will come were men and women will become lovers of the same sex and society will be in turmoil because they will say that it is ordained by God. This is what will happenbut still its very wonderful to see men like Mr. Clement stand up for a good fight of what is definitely a misreprsentation of nature. Knowing that still there are those unwilling to just lay down and turn over to perversion . Just because it feels good and right they're justifying theirselves and calling God a liar.

In answer to why homosexual acts are different from others sins, St. Paul says, it is because it is a sin against both God and our own body. Our human bodies are naturally/physically made to beget offspring--This can only happen between man and woman, naturally. For the rest, the teaching in the Bible never grows old. We are all born in sin (original sin); we need God’s saving grace (received in Baptism) to live a holy life. After that, we have the remainder of our life to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling” [Phil 2:12] because we all still have inclinations to sin (of one kind or another--and another...) that have to be controlled [Gal 5:16-21]. An "inclination" is not a sin, but acting it out is. Homosexual behavior is a perversion of the natural law; I know that sounds harsh, but the fact is the natural law is expressed in the union of a man and a woman—who, together with their progeny, form the basic unit of society. “Marriage” is the word that expresses this wonderful “union.” Such a "union" is not possible between two persons of the same sex—in the natural course. God’s Word is a “lamp to our feet and a light to our path” [Ps 119:105] all along the way. All along the way, we know that “the word of the Lord is true, it stands firm forever. Jesus reads hearts and forgives those who confess their sins; [Jn 20:23]; among others, he told the woman caught in adultery: “Go and sin no more.” There is plenty of “light for our path” in Sacred Scripture—so long as we draw near to God. He has called us to “follow” Him [Mt 8:22…] leaving everything behind…and he assures us that: “He who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” [Jn 8:12].---He is “the way, the truth and the life” [Jn 14:6]. His words are not "light" reading; they are pregnant with meaning for our lives, and may yet need to be, perhaps, re-discovered….Jesus had sobering words for the people of his time—He called them “an evil and adulterous generation” [Mt 12:39; 16:4 and cf: Mk 8:38]. (Are our “times” any better today?) Let us pray for one another, and each of us take up our cross daily and follow him [Lk 9:23]: lest we all, likewise, perish . This is the Gospel message for one and all who believe in God: He has sent His Son to save us from our sins through His life, death and resurrection! Turn to Him, trust in Him--All things are possible to the man/woman of faith.

God Bless us and may our Lord support us in this necessary debate/fight for truth--peacefully and spoken of in love not hate.

My heart goes out to the wisdom of our brother who has spoken here on SSA and who has this cross. May more follow him in his chastity toward our Lord.

Rob, the CCC needs to be actively promoted in each Catholic Parish - without substitution. As reverts ourselves, after 25 years away, the first thing my husband and I did prior to committing to come back to the Catholic Church was read the "CCC 2nd Ed" - to see if we could "live with" Church rules. EWTN, Fr. Corapi, and Mother Angelica reruns were all helpful. If sometimes I sound like I'm on a mission regarding the CCC, I am. In reparation for all my sins, I kept asking Jesus each night what he wanted me to do - always saying "Thy Will Be Done". After a few weeks, I woke up one morning and just knew. He hasn't let me off the hook yet - so be careful what you promise. I have had some successes including a few Bishop's who have added the CCC to their Diocese web site. I also wrote to Pope Benedict, and he has also recently mentioned the CCC. - However I'm sure I was not an influence but Jesus. Much work to do. Everyone, I'd appreciate your help in your own Diocese, Seminaries, Catholic Universities, 11th and 12th Grade Catholic High Schools. Don't settle for other catechisms for those over age 15. Give as birthday and Christmas gifts.

I think Jean said it all "case closed". The Church can not and will not change the teachings in Holy Scripture - Gen 19:1-29, Rom 1:24-27; 1 Cor 6:10; 1 Tim 1:10.
Why would anyone want to confrim others in sin and send assist in sending them to Hell? - Is that love of Neighbor ?

"This is not about the rightness of same sex marriage.... this is about the freedom to make your own decisions, according your own beliefs. Don't like gay marriage? Then don't get into one. I expect society to respect my beliefs, values, and life decisions - such as who I marry. Therefore, I must respect others' beliefs, values, and life decisions."

If we follow these guidelines we lower ourselves to aminals. The ignorance..and I apologize for saying it that way, is unbelievable. So should we run wild nude in the streets, stealing from others, taking advantage of the opposite sex because that's part of your belief. Should an adult have the right to marry a child, should an adult marry 3 or 4 people? Should an adult marry an animal..( some would say its up to that individual) You use the term "I" as a spoiled child uses it, one who is not familiar with rules or laws. It's people like you that even as a result of a vote, use the courts in disgrace to support a 2% minority, and then offensively compare it to black civil rights like a coward hiding behind a gang for support. How many gay people have sat in the back of a bus, sat in the balcony of a theater, denied entrance to a restaurant, had separate drinking and bathroom facilities that were not fit for an animal? How many gay people had ads in newspapers (take a look at wanted ads in 1950s Newspapers) that stated: Wanted Colored woman for maid, or Colored person no need to apply,..I have never seen an ad for a gay person which brought such disregard for human life. Show me where it says in a science or medical journal where a persons sexuality is determined at birth or before, they dont exist anywhere except upon the liberal talk and news shows. The CDC (govt, agency) states that smoking is harmful to humans, yet it rates homosexual sex (anal) as more deadly then smoking, yet no health warnings posted or taught about in schools...that it may not be a good lifestyle choice, not just the opposite, lets hide that data. The American Phychiatric Association just changed its brochures...seems that they now state that there is NOT a GENE found to support gay sex as being inborn, and that findings now point to social and upbringing...listen to the hollywood actors that come out...listen to things that have happened as they grew up...open your eyes!!! Oh and the issue of interracial marriage..for Gods Sake enought already. The case of Loving vs W.Virginia which is the poster case gay activists love to springboard off where black women, white male marry..and southern Democrat States arrested with option to leave state as couple or stay and face charges....amounts to this...it did nothing to change the definition of marriage...it has been and still is 1 MAN AND 1 WOMEN...!!!
The bottom line is this, all of us share in the equal option to marry 1 adult consenting person of the opposite sex. I cannot force change to any other hetrosexual style of marriage. Where it becomes an issue is that when you change the definition of marriage...and even today as a gay judge has attempted to due, he has sent a message (are you sheeple listening to this as to how you are being manipulated when you say live and let live) that anyone engaging in heterosexual marriage has committed in HOMOPHOBIA-yes folks we have by definition of our normal human desire to commit and pass on to generation after generation of the human equation by this judge.we are homophobes..which by the way folks...do the math,,HOMOPHOBIA- HOMO (short form of homosexual) PHOBIA ( A Fear of )..folks are we really gonna accept the fact that a group of gay people walking down the street bring fear to society..I doubt that they have those intentions...lets do away with liberal lies..

No problem Steve but the debate is this: The Catholic Church isnt going to debate on what it has determined about homosexuality because it has already spoken therefore the case is closed---humbly.

Im afraid they cant change what the Lord already has set down by the law. He, Himself said He came to fulfil the law not change it. Therefore He never changed what was said about homosexuality. He did foster our love for the sinner not the sin itself.

We as Catholics are in the world but not of it we cannot change what Christ taught and left behind. He did not leave behind a democracy in His mandates.

I don't think the main message of the Bible is "learn about all these sins, so you can find the people who are committing them and shame them with your righteous finger-pointing." I think the message is more, "Are you guilty of any of these sins? Then turn to Me and change your own heart and your own soul." Something is getting very scary about this gay marriage issue. It takes time, energy, and attention away from the things we need to fix within ourselves. Perhaps people use it as an excuse not to work on their own, possibly worse, sins? I don’t know. It just seems so un-Christian. Even if gay sex is an abomination against God, it is between that person and God. God listed hundreds of sins in the Bible, some that actually hurt others. I don't understand what makes gay sex a "special" sin worthy of so much more time, energy, and discussion than all the hundreds of other sins. Or why we as Christians spend so much time thinking about others' sins over our own in the first place.

Deacon Fournier, thanks again for a great article. As you can see you drove the children of the Liberal Establishment nuts. At this point they are out of breath trying to rationalize homosexuality as something "normal' and something that we should all accept. All their arguements go nowhere when intellegent people research the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It is up to we Catholics to stand up and say NO to homosexuality.

I express no point of view on the topic as a whole, as my views are considerably different to most people on here and to debate them articulately and rationally takes a considerable amount of time and patience. The single point I was hoping to make was that one certain poster, John D, was using a complete fabrication to support his point of view. My only aim therefore was to hopefully educate people regarding that lie, and hopefully prevent them from repeating and promulgating it as the truth, which does no credit to anyone, irrespective of which side of the debate they are on.
