WASHINGTON, DC (LifeSiteNews) - On Monday's episode of "Ellen," Catholic Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden flip-flopped on his homosexual "marriage" stance, telling lesbian hostess Ellen DeGeneres that he would vote against Proposition 8, which seeks to define marriage in California as being between one man and one woman.
Biden told DeGeneres, “If I lived in California, I would vote against Proposition 8."
This statement stands in stark contrast to an earlier assertion Biden made during the vice-presidential debate, when he claimed he was opposed to same-sex "marriage."
"Barack Obama nor I support redefining from a civil side what constitutes marriage," he said during the debate.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded to Biden's contradictory comments, accusing the self-professed Catholic of defying his own Church’s teachings on the issue.
"Proposition 8 is a civil initiative that would secure marriage as an institution that is exclusively between a man and a woman, and Joe Biden told Ellen DeGeneres that he is opposed to that measure," said Donohue.
"In other words, Biden did not tell the truth in his debate with Sarah Palin. He cannot logically be opposed to both gay marriage and Proposition 8, but that is exactly what he is trying to get away with. More important, Biden is openly defying both the pope and the bishops," he continued.
A May decision by the California Supreme Court judges to legalize same-sex "marriage" was denounced by true marriage supporters as undemocratic, due to the fact that California voters had already in 2000 passed a measure by a 61 percent majority declaring marriage as being between a man and a woman. DeGeneres is one of those who took immediate advantage of the Supreme Court decision, "marrying" actress Portia de Rossi in August.
The controversial decision is now being handed back to the people in the form of Proposition 8, which, if passed in the November vote, would once again define marriage in California as between one man and one woman.
DeGeneres is pulling out all the stops to strike down Proposition 8, having already spent $100,000 out of her own pocket on television ads in which she accuses proponents of true marriage of "twisting the truth."

I'm not surprised at what false Catholics like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Rudy Giuliani, Ted Kennedy and others say. They all support abortion and same sex marriage. They seem to delight in spitting on Catholic doctrines and then taking Holy Communion on Sundays. Not only should they be denied Holy Communion they should be excommunicated. If they are not going to obey the teachings of the church then they do not belong.
