I am reaching out to request prayer for my marriage. My wife, Sharon, and I have been separated for six weeks so far, and I am deeply concerned that she is preparing for divorce. I have made significant mistakes during our four-year marriage, including using pornography, being dishonest, and failing to respect her boundaries. This has caused her immense betrayal trauma, and she no longer feels safe with me. It has been heartbreaking to learn that while she still wants a family, she no longer wants to have one with me.

While I take full responsibility for my actions and my failure to love my wife as Christ loves the church. I am battling depression and despair, but I am committed to purifying my life. I am working daily with mentors, professionals, and Christian recovery groups.

Sharon and I are not currently speaking, and she has declined couples therapy. Despite the support of her parents, who hope we stay together, the future of our marriage remains uncertain. I am struggling with the fear that restoration may not happen.

Please pray for Sharon’s healing and for the restoration of our marriage and communication. Please pray that Jesus gives her divine forgiveness, and that he shows her how to love me and that I learn to love her the way I'm called to. Please pray that God makes me into the man he wants me to be. Please pray that the Father fully restores our marriage, and plants a desire in Sharon to speak with me and pursue a healed marriage.
