LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Computer scientists Steven Skiena and Charles B. Ward studied the Wiki pages of more than 800,000 people to arrive at a list of the world's most important figures.

A new analysis of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia's three million pages has revealed Jesus, Napoleon and Muhammed as the three most researched figures.

This beautiful print will look wonderful in your home!

Using a "ranking algorithm," both ward and Kiena looked at the length of a person's Wikipedia page, how many times it was read and the number of links from the pages of other major figures.

The rankings were also compared against public opinion polls, Hall of Fame voting records, sports statistics, and the prices of paintings and autographs.

Other figures who ranked among the top ten include the bard William Shakespeare, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the philosopher Aristotle.
