LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - President Obama has endorsed Hillary Clinton, but that doesn't mean his family is going to support the former Secretary of State. Obama's half-brother has announced he is supporting Donald Trump.
Obama's half-brother, Malik Obama, speaking from Kenya, that he planned to vote for Trump. The reason is he is disappointed in his half-brother's presidency and he feels Trump "speaks from the heart."
"Make America Great Again is a great slogan," he told the New York Post.
Malik Obama is a registered Democrat, but he became disillusioned with Clinton's use of a private email server. He also dislikes how Clinton handled Libya and and blamed her for the murder of Dictator Muammar Gaddafi, who Malik said was "making the world a better place." Malik dedicated his 2012 biography to the Libyan dictator.
Malik also said he is opposed to same-sex marriage, which his brother embraces.
Given these differences of opinion, there's little wonder the two brothers don't get along.
In response to the interview, Donald Trump tweeted: Wow, President's brother, Malik, just announced that he is voting for me. Was probably treated badly by president-live everybody else!
Malik lives in Kenya but is registered to vote in Maryland.
