It's time for the RNC to respect the will of the voters!

Voters are trying to send a message to the RNC, but they're not listening.

The feuding between Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) is hindering the party at a time when it should be closing ranks and pivoting strategy for the general election. At odds are Trump's vocal concerns that he's up against a rigged process and the RNC's fears that Trump will simply lose the general election.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - The ongoing feud between Trump and the RNC has many wondering if the Republican party can pull itself together to combat Hillary Clinton. Clinton is expected to be the Democratic nominee, and she nearly has the nomination locked up. A strong victory in New York, followed by a win in California will allow her to shift focus to the Republicans in early June. She may even pivot well before that, depending on her margin in New York and how well she does in other, smaller states before the massive California primary on June 7.

If the Republicans are still bickering among themselves by then, they will suffer a late start, which could cost a lot of votes, especially among independents.

Independents are key to this election as the majority of unaffiliated, independent voters currently support Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). If Sanders loses, as expected, then those voters will have to choose between Hillary Clinton and the Republican challenger. But without knowing who that challenger will be, many may be more inclined to settle for Clinton. From a business perspective, Clinton will have the first in market advantage, which is a large part of the reason she's so far out in front of Bernie Sanders in her party's superdelegate count.

Both Trump and the RNC have sparred vocally over the process. Since Colorado, Ted Cruz has been awarded all of the delegates in Wyoming, without a primary vote. This has prompted Trump to make multiple Twitter posts criticizing the party as well as penning an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, saying the system is being rigged by party operatives with 'double-agent' delegates who reject the decisions of voters."

Which brings us to an important point.

The voters, where they have had a say in the outcome, have supported Trump by vast majorities. The RNC does not like Trump because he is not an establishment insider. He caters heavily to the conservative base of the party, although by all other accounts he is historically politically moderate.

The purpose of an election is to allow the people to decide who should govern on their behalf. When elites and party insiders, themselves often appointed, not elected, make this decision for the people, then the people are disenfranchised. That's not democracy. It isn't even a republic, for the people cannot even elect the electors. It's oligarchy.

The vote of the people must be respected. If the people vote for a maverick, it is a sign that they are tired of establishment politics. It is a hint that the establishment has fallen out of touch with the people they're supposed to represent and it's time to adapt.

If the RNC cannot bring itself to respect the will of the voters, then they deserve to lose the coming election as well as their jobs. Democracy that doesn't work for the people is not democracy.
