LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - GOP presidential front runner Donald Trump spent his Monday afternoon in prayer with 40 religious leaders and pastors inside his prominent office at the Trump Towers.
Among the religious leaders involved in the gathering, televangelists Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Pastor David Jeremiah, TBN religious broadcaster Jan Crouch, Pastor Paula White, Pastor Darrell Scott and Jesus Rabbi Kirt Schneider were in attendance.
Trump talked about his faith during the meeting. However, he admitted he does not read the Bible as often as the others present inside the room. The religious leaders implored that Trump should start toning down his harsh criticisms and rhetoric to the press and the public. Pastor Scott said Trump nodded his head and listened attentively to what they all had to say.
"He has a very high regard and a very deep respect for men and woman of the cloth," Pastor Scott revealed via the Brody File.
Trump also assured the religious leaders and pastors that he would provide strong support to Israel and will pursue the defeat of ISIS, saying they would be two of the most important priorities in his political line up.
He also mentioned his plans about the US economy, balancing the budget and eliminating the deficit and tax reforms. Pastor Scott believes Trump made several good points and pleased those present at the meeting. In addition, he thinks that he, together with the other religious leaders, will give Trump much consideration and support on his candidacy.
