Also holds to promise not to push his beliefs on others

While VP Joe Biden said that he is not prepared to impose his beliefs to others, he is, as a Catholic, against abortion. He addressed he believes life begins at conception and abortion is always wrong. However, he also said the matter lies much on the religious sphere, according to National Review report.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - National Review reported Biden saying, "I'm prepared to accept that at the moment of conception there's human life and being, but I'm not prepared to say that to other Godfearing [and] non-Godfearing people that have a different view," during an interview published Monday by Jesuit-run outlet America

"Abortion is always wrong. All the principles of my faith, [which] I make no excuse for attempting to live up to - I don't all the time. But I'm not prepared to impose doctrine that I'm prepared to accept on the rest of [the country]," explained the Vice President. His pro-life views align perfectly with other Roman Catholic Democrats.

However, his statement also made him stand out against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California [D], who stated that supporting abortion is an extension of her religious beliefs.

"As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this," she said in 2013.

A day before the interview was published, Democrat senators delayed legislation on the prohibition of late-term abortions, which was being advocated after scientific findings indicated that utero fetuses at 20 weeks gestation can feel pain. Republicans gained more confidence to push anti-abortion legislation following the empirical evidence the research provided.
Last May, Florida Senator Marco Rubio emphasized that evidence grounded the belief that life begins at conception, resulting in a heavily argued debate among lawmakers.

"A neutral examination of the factual evidence merely establishes the onset of a new human life at a scientifically well defined 'moment of conception,' a conclusion that unequivocally indicates that human embryos from the zygote stage forward are indeed living individuals of the human species - human beings," wrote University of Utah Professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy, Dr. Maureen Condic, in 2008.

Despite scientific findings, abortion is still legal across the United States.
